Hornby Spares - X03 X04 Motor Replacement (NO WORM)

Motor upgrades for Triang Hornby model trains fitted with X03 and X04 Motors. These upgrades allow you to remove the old and aging X04 motor and fit a brand new 5 pole skew-wound motor with with the possibility of adding a flywheel, resulting in much smoother running, especially at low speeds. These motor upgrades will also allow you to convert your Triang Hornby model to DCC, as the upgraded motors run more efficiently and draw less current than the XO3 and XO4 motor (which are often known to blow decoders due to their high current draw). 
PLEASE NOTE:
 
These replacment kits do not come with a worm and will require you to remove the worm from the original motor which will then need to be fitted to the new motor which can be done with an adapter that is supplied with this kit. (See last photo). We can fit this mod for you free of charge (excluding the cost of this mod) if you send your model in to us for motor replacment.

1x worm adapter to sit on new motor + 2x spare.
 
Please note: accsessability to a soldering station and soldering skills will be required to replace the motor.
